Writing clinical notes and completing other administration in relation to patient care is often times overlooked or poorly done. This places allied health professionals at increased medicolegal risk.

In this course, we look at South African National legislation and World Health Organisation guidelines on clinical documentation. We provide and discuss examples of clinical records, to help clinicians grow to be excellent in their clinical reasoning and minimise barriers to documentation.

We also explore other medicolegal considerations, including informed consent, to assist allied health professionals in mitigating their medicolegal risk within the healthcare industry.
