Course Description

Level: Beginner to Intermediate

The oedematous hand is a common problem that is present in most hand conditions as it is a common symptom as per the physiological response to pain, injury and surgery.

The therapist must be able to identify the progression of this and help manage the hand to prevent a Stiff hand.

The stiff hand also can occur as a result of many factors such as late referrals and due to various medical or orthopedic conditions and impacts on functional ability.

The therapist has to use many different approaches to see how to aide functional gripping and correction of deformities, in the milieu of pain.

The talk focuses on deductive reasoning in trying to choose the necessary approach for the patient therapy.
