To be in the healthcare profession is an undertaking of a moral obligation towards those served through different healthcare occupations. Clinicians have an expectation of themselves to perform their duties in a manner that promotes ethical standards. Patients who receive care from healthcare professionals have an expectation of being treated fairly and trust clinicians to have their best interests at heart. During these two sessions we will cover topics such as informed consent, patient confidentiality, conflict of interest as well as how professionals are equipped to do the care necessary to uphold the rights of others. Consideration will also be provided in providing healthcare through telehealth as well as in-person delivery of care.
