She is a practicing speech-language pathologist, an author, international presenter/consultant, and adjunct professor. She is the author of Here’s How Children Learn Speech and Language: A Text on Different Learning Strategies and See It & Say It Visual Phonics Program. as well as coauthor of Collaboration Among Teachers and Speech-Language Pathologist. She is a board certified specialist in child language and language disorders. She is the 2013 recipient of the Nancy McKinley Leadership and Mentoring Award from OSSPEAC, the 2016 Distinguished Teaching and Outstanding Contribution to the Education Profession from the Bureau of Education and Research, and the 2019 Honors of the Association from the Indiana Speech-Language, and Hearing Association.
