Jennifer studied at The University of Cape Town, after which she completed her community service at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. Jennifer then went to the UK where she worked as the practice manager at a private practice in Surrey, whilst completing her sensory integration training through the SI network, UK and Ireland. After completing her SI training Jennifer went to the STAR Centre, in Denver, Colorado to carry out module 1 and 2 mentorship with Dr Lucy J Miller and Dr Sarah Schoen. The STAR Centre is widely regarded as being at the forefront of Sensory Processing Disorder research. Jennifer returned to South Africa in 2012 and started “Sensory Stars” a paediatric practice based in Atholl, Johannesburg, which predominantly provides a service to children with sensory processing and feeding difficulties using an intensive intervention model of treatment. In 2014 Jennifer completed her training in Sensory Attachment Intervention, in the UK as well as her SOS training for fussy feeders, also in the UK. Jennifer is also one of the founders and Directors of LEAD Kids special needs preschool, which is a special needs preschool for children with Sensory processing difficulties, speech delays, global developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder.
