Sensory Matters Occupational Therapist

Jacqui qualified in 2005 from the University of Pretoria, cum laude. In 2008 she co-founded a paediatric private practice, Sensory Matters. Her Master’s degree in paediatrics was completed through WITS in 2012, which included her Sensory Integration training (but not her SIPT certification). The topic of her Masters was based on the effect of sensory strategies on infant regulation and published in the South African Journal of Occupational Therapy. Her NDT training was completed in 2015 with her advanced NDT training being completed in 2017. Jacqui has also done further training in the SOS approach to feeding, therapeutic listening and TRE. Jacqui has written articles both for Medical journals and parenting magazines and has presented workshops to parents, teachers and therapists. She has extensive experience working with infants, toddlers and school going children with a wide range of abilities and challenges. She is currently embarking on her Craniosacral Therapy diploma. She is a mother of two beautiful daughters who give her insight into parenting and raising a child with sensory processing difficulties.
