Claudia Vosters qualified in Pretoria; taught Physical Science and Physical Education in a high school in Secunda for 3 years, then studied psychology and remedial teaching through UNISA. Once she got married and had children, she decided to teach more in the line of learning support by including strugglers within a mainstream environment.
Claudia is a proactive and passionate person with extensive knowledge of Inclusive Education and in Remedial Teaching in a mainstream schooling system. She has 32 years of experience working with children of different ages within a mainstream environment with all levels of specific learning challenges, working with their parents of different backgrounds and encouraging teaching staff to work with these children with needs in their classroom.
Her aim is to make more educators and therapists.
Claudia is currently the Head of the learning support at Thomas More College in KZN. She teaches daily, supports classes in English and Maths; does individual remedial lessons and study skills and also assist with strugglers in the High School. In her position she monitors and coordinates students that experience learning difficulties with the most fitting teaching approaches, professional interventions and/or subject choices. She makes recommendations on the school management team on how the school and teachers can best accommodate individual students in reaching their true potential.
