Talk description: This webinar will cover the background and basic physiology and function of the thyroid and what is needed for normal thyroid function and the importance of thyroid function. It will focus on hypothyroidism, touching on subclinical hypothyroidism as well other questions regarding thyroid health. The talk will address supplementation, how to take it optimally, drug interactions, optimal range, thyrotherapy, individualising this according to the individual patient as well as what supplemental support is needed for optimal thyroid function.

Dr Landi Lombard (Endochrinologist and Specialist Physician)
Dr L Lombard is a highly respected Endocrinologist and Specialist Physician with extensive experience in diabetes, endocrinology, and metabolic medicine. He obtained his MBChB from the University of Stellenbosch in 1993, graduating with distinction in Internal Medicine, before completing his M.Med in Internal Medicine Cum Laude and subsequently sub-specialising in Endocrinology.
In addition to more than two decades in private practice, Dr Lombard has been deeply involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, clinical research, and professional education. He has served on numerous national and international advisory boards, been principal investigator on 14 major clinical drug trials, and has authored over 30 publications in the fields of diabetes, cardiovascular risk, and endocrinology.
A seasoned and highly sought-after speaker, Dr Lombard has presented extensively at local and international congresses and CPD events.
