TITLE: Neuropsychotherapy: How to Use Psychotherapy to Change the Brain
ABOUT THE TALK: This presentation explores psychotherapy as more than a conversation: it is also a brain-changing intervention. Healthcare professionals will be introduced to the science of neuroplasticity and how therapeutic processes can shape attention, memory, emotion regulation, threat perception, and behavior.
The talk will connect core clinical interventions, including safety, attunement, exposure, mindfulness, cognitive reappraisal, and emotional processing, to the nervous system mechanisms that support healing, resilience, and lasting psychological change.
