TITLE: ECI SERIES (Part1b)- Preparing your therapy space for supporting children with Autism or children with complex social, sensory and communication needs.
ABOUT THE TALK: This is the second stand-alone webinar in the Early Communication Intervention series. It discusses setting up your therapy room with equipment, toys, sensory items and AAC, what to order, access, print and buy to best support these children.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Joanne Ravell is a Speech Language Pathologist with two decades of experience, working with minimally verbal, neurodivergent, Apraxic ( developmental coordination disorder- DCD) and autistic individuals in early communication intervention (ECI). Her areas of special interest and skill involve the area of Auditory Processing (often identified in ND children), anxiety, complex communication and Sensory needs, with focus on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). As a mom of 4, she places high value on transdisciplinary teamwork and Parent Coaching. She is the author of a series of specially designed ebooks with sound and audiobooks embedded, to target listening and auditory processing in young children.
