TITLE: Canva Foundations for Professionals
ABOUT THE TALK: New to Canva or need a refresher? This beginner-friendly session will introduce participants to Canva and show them how to confidently navigate the platform. We will explore how to use templates, customise designs, work with fonts, colours, images and graphics, and create professional resources without needing design experience. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of Canva’s essential tools and how they can use them in their everyday work.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Petrina Burke is the Product Manager for Canva at Learning Curve, an official Canva Reseller Partner, where she helps organisations and higher education institutions across Africa explore, adopt and scale Canva for their teams. With more than a decade of experience in education, training and digital enablement, Petrina is passionate about helping people use technology in practical and meaningful ways. She has trained thousands of educators, professionals and business owners across Africa, with a particular focus on Canva, AI and digital productivity.
Drawing on her background as an educator and trainer, Petrina has a talent for making technology easy to understand and relevant to everyday work. Today, her focus is on helping organisations unlock the value of Canva to improve creativity, collaboration, productivity and communication across their teams.
