Lisa Kallmeyer is a Counselling Psychologist in private practice in Norwood, Gauteng. She received her Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology with a specialization in Community Counselling at the University of the Witwatersrand. Following this, she completed an internship at an NGO called UBUBELE near Alexandra Township. Lisa continued to work at UBUBELE for the following 5 years, where in addition to offering psychotherapy to children and adults, she was also involved in the development and facilitation of various workshops and trainings.
Since 2011, Lisa’s private practice has offered services to individuals of varying ages, toddler to adult as well as offering group trainings in the form of workshops. She has had significant experience in working with individuals affected by divorce and has written a number of articles around the theme of divorce. These articles have been published on www.thedivorcesource.co.za. She has also made contributions to a published book titled Divorce 101: Survive & Thrive by Stacey Lewis.
Lisa is also currently under-going further qualifications in Family and Child Mediation, including the drafting and finalising of Parenting Plans.
Lisa’s clinical approach is to individually tailor therapy to the client’s specific needs. She believes that each person brings his/her uniqueness to each therapeutic encounter and her focus is to work within this distinctive relationship, together with the client, no matter what age they may be.
