CARINA TAYLOR qualified at the University of Pretoria in 1991 with a BA in Occupational Therapy. She worked at a missionary hospital as well as Garankuwa Hospital for three years, being involved in paediatrics. She then entered private practice first in Johannesburg, then Cape Town and for the past 20 years in Pretoria. She started training as a lecturer for the South African Institute for Sensory Integration (SAISI) in 1998. Carina is SIPT qualified (2010). She is part of the SAISI treatment course development team. She is also an Interactive Metronome Practitioner who qualified in 2013. She was part of the Brain Chemistry Corporate Wellness team. She lectures professionals i.e. psychologists, adults, parents and teachers regarding the value of sensory integration therapy with a special interest in sensory and emotional regulation for optimal functioning. She currently works in private practice and delivers a service to children and adults with sensory processing difficulties.
