Annabel is officially qualified as a high school Maths and Physical Sciences teacher. She has taught in both primary and high schools. In 2015 she came 3rd in South Africa, in the Apple iTeacher award. This award recognised the way that she had completely changed how learning happened in her classroom.
Between 2014 and 2016 she has given a number of presentations and workshops to schools, principal conferences and teacher conferences on her experiences with technology in the classroom. This year she was appointed as the Head of PEPPS Polokwane College and during the year has been promoted to the position of Executive Head of all 6 PEPPS Trust schools, effective at the start of 2018.
Annabel is also the mother of twin 13 year old boys, so her perspectives include the viewpoint of a mother.
Her talk focuses on her authentic experiences, rather than formal academic studies. She is deeply passionate about connecting with young people at their level and ensuring that they learn.
