Overview of the treatment of fractures of the hand at the finger, wrist and thumb. Protocols of splints and weekly time frames, specifically to guide mobilisation of the fractured part will be presented. Therapy points to consider when managing complications of fractures will included e.g. chronic pain, stiffness of joints, complex fractures, non-union, contractures and malunion.
